I can scarcely imagine how we used to make it without today’s ingenious slipcovers.
They are keeping many a Mom from losing their minds, and everyone else- just plain happy and BONUS, the furniture clean !!
I personally love the softness they add to any room not to mention covering all those unsightly legs and mismatched odds and ends we pick up from time to time...
Even the little ugly ducklings can be transformed into beautiful, graceful, lovely
swans when they have a simple slipcover. Many different fabric options are available,
but be sure to think about those remnants from an old quilt, worn out blanket, or family
tablecloth you are still hanging onto. Don’t worry if they have a few stains or tears. Just
work around them and be creative ! Think VINTAGE....

Source Beautiful, the slipcover balances all the "legs" of other furniture.
You decide, look for a project and let us know.

ReplyDeleteMe too ! Such a talented woman.
DeleteHave a great week. Enjoyed all the photos of Market. I usually go here
in Dallas, but thinking about Atlanta or Highpoint again real soon.
I wish I could remember which one of my delightful followers made these incredible slip covers for the back of their dining room chairs . . . Since I don't have a blog to send you to, I'll describe them. They took a pair of jeans, cut off the legs and hemmed just the torso (tummy and butt) sewed the waist shut and slipped them over the chair backs. Then to top it off added a red napkin sticking out of the pocket. So very country cute. Just thought you might be interested. Have a great week, Connie :)
ReplyDeleteOh... I just love creative uses for everyday items. I bet they are wonderful !
